My approach

Let me start by saying Congratulations on your engagement!

To introduce myself, I am a full time, fully qualified, professional wedding photographer, and I am a member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP) and the British Professional Photographer's Assosiation (BPPA).  I have been awarded the LSWPP & LBPPA qualifications and am currently working towards my Associate level (that only 10% of photographers ever get).

I have been working in wedding photography for around 12 years, starting as an assistant, then working alongside other photographers, and then worked my way up to head photographer until I started my own business 5 years ago.  I have done weddings all over the world, and I have taken pictures for several well known personalities, including Michel Parkinson, Martin Johnson (England rugby captain), Francois Pienaar (South African Rugby Captain) and Harry Gration (off the telly).

I have also done work for Castle Howard's and Leeds United's brochures and advertising, as well as having images on the cover of the York City Wedding Guide, and the advertising for the Churchill Hotel and Sandburn Hall.

My approach to wedding photography is relaxed and informal, whilst being extremely professional.  I am a contemporary wedding photographer capturing the emotions and details of the day, using a reportage / candid style, backed up with relaxed group shots and, of course, stunning shots of you as a couple.  I don't take you away from your guests for hours - taking over the day.  Instead I work very closely with you during our meetings before the wedding, so you can relax on the day knowing that I will capture everything that is important to you.  I also do not over-pose you and make you feel uncomfortable - instead I work with your natural emotions and direct you into natural poses.  I am not a grumpy stereotypical wedding photographer bossing every one about - I just have fun with you and your guests.
